The Call for Innovation, which opened last October, aimed to offer start-ups and small and medium enterprises the opportunity to develop products and processes that can bring innovation in the Agritech and tobacco processing chain, providing decision support to farmers in the management of cultivation.

On the occasion of the Innovation Day, the 12 finalist start-ups (Agridatalog, Agrorobotica, Bluetentacles, E-4E, EZ Lab, Horta, Keethings, Ono, Soonapse, TokenFarm, Wenda and X-Next), selected among more than 60 who submitted their applications to the dedicated platform ‘BeLeaf: Be the future’, presented their projects to a jury of experts, who awarded the most innovative projects. Among the requirements for the victory, participants were required to submit projects involving: digitization processes of the tobacco industry and data collection technologies, tools to promote sustainable agricultural practices, monitoring tobacco production in all its phases, up to advanced training activities for the use of innovative agricultural techniques.

The e-4e start-up is a leader in the development, production and sale of eco-friendly and sustainable energy-saving products and services.
